There's not long to wait now until Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) suits up once again and brings Daredevil back to our screens. Now comes the first proper look at Elodie Yung's Elektra Natchios.

Elektra, of course, is the Man Without Fear's most famous relationship, a woman from his past – referenced in passing during the first season – who will arrive to cause real trouble for our hero in the new episodes. Yung, of course, has plenty of real-life martial arts skills to bring to the character once played on screen by Jennifer Garner, and this Elektra promises to be a great addition to show that has already made good use of its cast.

The new season will find Matt dealing with new challenges, including the concern that his vigilante duties have led to the likes of Frank "The Punisher" Castle (Jon Bernthal) and his even more violent crusade. And how will it affect his closest friends, Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson)? We'll find out when Daredevil returns to screens on March 18 via Netflix.

For more on the new season, including an interview with Bernthal, check out the latest issue of Empire, in shops (in the UK, at least), tomorrow.
