The saga of making a new cinematic take on James O'Barr's graphic novel The Crow has taken another turn; and this time hopefully in a positive direction. With The Hallow's Corin Hardy still on to direct, Jason Momoa is in talks to star.
Mashable brings the news, though sprung from an Instagram post that Momoa put up a couple of days ago showing him and Hardy "sealing the deal" over a pint of Guinness. (You can see the image below and head to Momoa's Instagram page for the full, exuberant post.)
And for those wondering what impact this might have on his Aquaman duties, fear not: all involved have found a way to make the scheduling work, so that if he does finally sign a deal to star in the Relativity remake, it won't impact his undersea duties on either the stand-alone Aquaman movie that James Wan is developing or any future Justice League appearances. In related Aquaman news, The Wrap reports that the villain for the Wan film will be Black Mantra, one of the hero's classic bad guys.
The Crow has been through the wringer in terms of development, tearing through potential directors and actors to play tragic musician turned supernatural agent of vengeance Eric Draven. Perhaps now it might finally, actually head before cameras.
