Word arrived earlier this month that God Particle, the latest mystery project from J.J. Abrams' Bad Robot company, would arrive on screens next year. Now we know two of the people who will be in it: David Oyelowo and Gugu Mbatha-Raw are in negotiations to star.
The script, which originated with Oren Uziel, is still being kept fairly quiet, but we do know it's about astronauts on the International Space Station making a terrifying discovery that changes all they know about reality, and the idea of the Earth vanishing after an experiment is conducted in the Large Hadron Collider. Sounds like an intriguing, topical premise, and the addition of good actors makes it that much more tempting. Julius Onah is in the director's chair with Abrams acting as producer alongside Bryan Burke.
Oyelowo was most recently seen in Captive and will be seen in Nina, A United Kingdom and Nash Edgerton's American Express, which is shooting now. Mbatha-Raw appeared in Concussion and has The Free State Of Jones due on May 27 and The Whole Truth arriving on June 10.
