With John Ridley working behind the scenes, we now know who will be joining Freida Pinto and Idris Elba (who also produces) in new miniseries Guerrilla. The cast has swelled to include Babou Ceesay, Rory Kinnear, Nathaniel Martello-White, Daniel Mays and more.

Ceesay, last seen in Eye In The Sky, will be Marcus, who along with Pinto's Jas forms a radical underground cell in early 1970s London. They target the Black Power Desk, a counter-intelligence unit that was actually set up within the Special Branch at the time to investigate and destroy black activism. And the pressure will not just come from the outside, as the couple struggles with their choices and the effect on their relationship...

We also know that Kinnear and Mays will be Pence and Cullen, officers of Special Branch, Zawe Ashton is Omega, a man who sees himself as a leader in the city's black community, with Brandon Scott, Nicholas Pinnock and Denise Gough also all in the ensemble.

Elba's role has yet to be revealed for the show, which is being co-produced by Sky Atlantic and the US Showtime channel. Expect it to arrive on our screens next year.
