Two blokes prepping for a dust-up might seem like a thin premise to stretch across a feature-length movie, but it worked for Rocky IV and Fist Fight will be hoping to repeat the trick, albeit without the sled-pulling and snow sprints. Charlie Day and Ice Cube are the rival teachers slugging it out in this new trailer for the comedy.
The story finds Day as mild-mannered English teacher Andy Campbell who must man up when his feared colleague, Ron Strickland (Cube), at his less-than-top-notch school challenges him to a good old-fashioned punch-up over a perceived sleight. There’s bad blood and good blood must be spilt to sort it out.
The cast – or corner people – runs pretty deep with Christina Hendricks playing a fiery drama teacher who has the hots for Cube (and a bunch of knives), with Dean Norris, Jillian Bell and Tracy Morgan also appearing.
The New Line comedy has a script from Van Robichaux and Evan Susser, and It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia's Richie Keen directing. We’ll be seeing it in the UK on 3 March, 2017.
