Continuing their attempts to showcase a global cast, the team behind the Pacific Rim sequel is adding Ukrainian actress Ivanna Sakhno to the mix.
The sequel to Guillermo del Toro's 2013 monster-fighting action pic has Steven S. DeKnight taking control of the directorial drift this time, but most of the details are still under wraps. However, we do know the cast confirmed so far, including John Boyega (who is also producing), Scott Eastwood, Jian Ting, Cailee Spaeny, Adria Arjona and Levi Meaden.
What Sakhno will be up to is anyone's guess, though given the how the first film went, we're betting she'll be pressed into service battling giant Kaiju.
Pacific Rim 2, which will be out in February 2018, is Sakhno's latest stab at breaking into Hollywood after gaining notice in Ukrainian-language hits. She's also part of the cast sci-fi horror thriller Viral.
