He may not have snagged the services of Will Smith for his planned live-action version of Dumbo, but Tim Burton has found someone to appear in the film – and it's an actor rapidly becoming his new muse. Eva Green is in talks to play one of the three main roles in the movie.
After working with the director on Dark Shadows and Miss Peregrine's Home For Peculiar Children, Green appears ready to co-star in the film, which has Ehren Kruger writing a new version of the story that Disney first brought to screens in animated form back in 1941.
What the live-action movie will bring to the tale of the lovable, young elephant with the massive ears who learns to fly is anyone's guess at this point, but it certainly seems as though Burton and co. will do something fresh. It's just another Disney film to get the live-action conversion treatment, with Beauty And The Beast landing here on 17 March.
Green will next be seen in Euphoria and has a role in Roman Polanski's Based On A True Story.
