So far the Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them trailers have been all sizzle and no magical sausage. We’re happy to report, then, that the new one, freshly debuted at Comic-Con, finally shows some of those magical beasts of Eddie Reymayne’s magizoologist Newt Scamander. Take a look below.
Redmayne's Newt Scamander is a globe-trotting magizoologist. His travels are recorded 70 years before Harry tackles Voldemort, in 1926, and major on his time in New York, where the city is soon ransacked by some of the beasties he carries with him in his bottomless bag.
And that isn't helped by the fact that America's Muggles, the No-Maj, aren't exactly trusting when it comes to witches and wizards, with the fires of suspicion stirred by dark forces, represented here by Colin Farrell's investigator, Percival Graves. Who seems to know more about Newt that one might suspect, given the mention of a certain Albus Dumbledore here.
With Potter veteran David Yates directing a script conjured up by J.K. Rowling herself, the cast around Redmayne and Farrell includes Katherine Waterston, Samantha Morton, Carmen Ejogo, Alison Sudol, Dan Fogler, Ron Perlman and Jon Voight.
And because Warner Bros. is bringing a presentation on the film to Comic-Con, there is, of course, a new poster. Check it out...
