Twin Peaks: New Teasers For The Show’s Return

Twin Peaks (2017)

There are just a few short months to wait until David Lynch and co-creator Mark Frost take us back to the weird town of Twin Peaks. To remind us of that fact, two new teasers are online.

Neither video – the one of Kyle MacLachlan's Dale Cooper smashing his head into a mirror and the reveal of Laura Palmer's (Sheryl Lee) body - reveals anything about the new series, which is the way we can imagine Lynch in particular likes it. He's gone to great lengths not to give away much information, preferring us all to go back in cold.

But we do know that the new series picks up roughly 25 years since the original series aired, and will consist of 18 episodes in this first run. A lot of the original cast is back alongside new recruits including Monica Bellucci, Amanda Seyfried and Naomi Watts.

And here is some actually pertinent information: Twin Peaks will air on the US Showtime cable channel starting 21 May at 9pm. For the UK, we'll be able to watch it at the same time (so 2am on 22 May) on Sky Atlantic, with a repeat on 23 May at 9pm. To be ready for the show's return, you can catch up with series 1 and 2 on Sky Box Sets and NOW TV.
