Brian De Palma hasn't made a film since 2012's Passion, but he's ready to get back to thriller territory and spin a mystery across Europe. The director has Christina Hendricks and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau starring in Domino.

While there's a chance the title will change to avoid confusion with Tony Scott's 2005 film, this one comes via a script by Kon-Tiki writer Petter Skavlan. Coster-Waldau will be a Copenhagen-based police officer looking to get justice after his partner is murdered by a mysterious criminal named Imran. He teams up with another cop and his late colleague's mistress (Hendricks) to hunt Imran down, but the case develops in to a cat and mouse chase that involves a dangerous CIA agent and stretches from Scandinavia to Spain.

De Palma's producers have sorted most of the financing for the film, and the rights will be available at the Cannes Film Festival this month. Hendricks will next be seen in Pottersville and Crooked House, while Coster-Waldau has worked on crime dramas including Shot Caller and 3 Things. He'll also be back as Jaime Lannister on Game Of Thrones, which finally returns to screens in July.
