Back in October, James Gunn let slip the first footage from the Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel, which goes by the unassuming title Vol. 2 Now here comes the first proper teaser trailer, full of all the fun, action and rock you might expect.
While still not giving away much about the plot (which is a good thing for a trailer), we firmly know to expect more of what we loved about these lovable rogues – snappy dialogue, good-natured teasing and a lot of ridiculous situations that they navigate with typical charm.
Star-Lord (Chris Pratt), Drax (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), baby (well, toddler) Groot (Vin Diesel) and Rocket (Bradley Cooper) are all back, and this time kick off the movie as a coherent unit. At least as coherent as they might get... They're facing big new threats, especially after a job goes badly wrong, and (spoiler alert) Pratt's Peter Quill also learns of his true parentage thanks to Kurt Russell's living planet, Ego. Oh, and then there's Yondu (Michael Rooker), at the wrong end of a mutiny by the Reavers. Shown for the first time in the footage here is newcomer Mantis, played by Pom Klementieff.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will be with us on 28 April. We're very excited. Obviously.
