One is a mainstay of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the other helped to launch it back in 2008. But now Chris Hemsworth and Jeff Bridges are likely to be sharing the screen for something very different, entering talks to star in Bad Times At The El Royale.
Drew Goddard, who worked with Hemsworth as co-writer and director of Cabin In The Woods, has spawned the new movie, which is set in the 1960s at a run-down hotel near California’s Lake Tahoe named the El Royale and gathers a cast of characters whose own shady agendas will violently collide. That's about all anyone will say at this point, and there is no information about what Hemsworth or Bridges will be playing, assuming they lock in deals.
All being well, Goddard wants to start shooting the movie in January. As for Hemsworth, he'll be back as everyone's favourite (second favourite after a certain mischief maker?) Asgardian in Thor Ragnarok, out on 27 October. Bridges will be the leader of the Statesmen in Kingsman: The Gold Circle, heading our way on 20 September.
