While his future with the Bond films might be dangling over a pit of sharks with laser beams attached to their heads, Daniel Craig is pushing ahead with other possibilities. He, alongside Katherine Heigl, is now taking the chance to work with Steven Soderbergh on Logan Lucky.

Soderbergh's big return to filmmaking is drawing big support from NASCAR, with the american racing organisation allowing the director to shoot early footage at its events. A big race is key to the plot, which finds brothers plotting a crime under the cover of the noise and chaos of the cars circling the track.

The likes of Channing Tatum, Adam Driver, Riley Keough and Seth MacFarlane are all aboard the movie, which will kick off actual production in the autumn.

However Craig's deal works out and whatever he ends up with, he's also attached to star in a new TV series called Purityfor producer Scott Rudin and director Todd Field.
