The Marvel/Netflix TV universe continues to knit together even as it expands, and while Rosario Dawson's Claire Temple and Mike Colter's Luke Cage have crossed series, Carrie-Anne Moss' hot shot, controversial lawyer Jeri Hogarth introduced in Jessica Jones is on their heels, having already shown up in Daredevil. She's now going to become part of Iron Fist, too.
Hogarth will be one of the people helping Danny Rand (Finn Jones) as he returns to New York after being missing for years. He's trying to reconnect with his past and the surviving members of his family, while also battling the criminal element corrupting his world. “Carrie-Anne has fast become a fan-favorite part of our street level saga, and we share our viewers’ excitement in bringing her into Iron Fist,” says Marvel Television boss Jeph Loeb. “As Marvel fans know, Hogarth in the comics plays a critical role in the life of Danny Rand so it seems only fitting that Carrie-Anne join in.”
“Danny Rand lives in the highest stratosphere of New York’s business society and he’s going to need a ruthless lawyer to help him navigate this alien world,” adds executive producer and showrunner, Scott Buck. “I’m very happy to have the opportunity to bring Carrie-Anne Moss as Jeri Hogarth into Iron Fist.”
Iron Fist will be on the streaming service in 2017. The next series to hit will be Luke Cage, debuting in one burst on September 30.
