Once upon a time, if you said the title "Death Wish", it conjured up images of Charles Bronson on a vengeful rampage. Director Eli Roth and star Bruce Willis are hoping you have room in your head for the latter's hoodie-clad vigilante, and the trailer for the new movie, also simply called Death Wish is now online.

Largely mirroring the original, though swapping in the crime-haunted streets of Chicago instead of the 1970s New York, the film finds Willis as Dr. Paul Kersey, a surgeon who only sees the aftermath of Chicago violence when it is rushed into his ER – until his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and college-age daughter (Camila Morrone) are viciously attacked in their suburban home.

With the police overloaded with crimes, Paul, burning for revenge, hunts his family's assailants to deliver justice. As the anonymous slayings of criminals grabs the media's attention, the city wonders if this deadly warrior is a guardian angel or a grim reaper.

The likes of Vincent D'Onofrio, Dean Norris and Kimberly Elise also feature, and Death Wish will be out in US cinemas on 22 November. There's no sign of a UK date yet.
