The Duffer brothers and their Stranger Things team have been on a shopping spree of late, adding all manner of cast for the second season. The latest hire is comedy actor Brett Gelman.

With the story jumping forward in time, the young leads are back and now Gelman will be aboard to play Murray Bauman, a disgraced journalist who has dug deep into conspiracies and is currently investigating a cold case in Hawkins, Indiana. Given the show's usual plot, he'll have plenty to keep him busy.

Gelman joins fellow new recruits Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, Linnea Berthelsen, Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery. Season 2 of the show, the plot for which is naturally under wraps, is shooting now and will be out on Netflix next year. Keeping busy, Gelman will be seen in the revived Twin Peaks next year and has also worked on indie movies Lemon and Gingerbread.
