Amy Schumer has some free time on her film schedule after dropping out of the Barbie movie. And she's decided to fill a chunk of it with a new comedy called I Feel Pretty.
Deadline was not able to dig up any plot information about the movie, but given that it'll mark the film directing debut of Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein, who have written scripts for the likes of How To Be Single, The Vow, and Never Been Kissed, you can pretty much figure that it'll be a romantic comedy. Will Schumer play a woman struggling to fit in with today's exacting standards of beauty (which, after all, is apparently what the Barbie movie plans to satirise)? We'll have to wait and see on that front.
Schumer next has Snatched, in which she co-stars with Goldie Hawn as a mother/daughter duo kidnapped while on a tropical holiday. That comedy is out here on 19 May. Then there is Thank You For Your Service, which has yet to lock in a UK release date.
