Warner Bros. looked to start its Comic-Con presence off strong, leading with the assembled DC movies directors then letting the separate movie teams speak for themselves. First up after that introduction was Patty Jenkins and her Wonder Woman team, and they brought the first trailer, which you can watch below.

It's certainly an impressive first real look at the movie, filled with intriguing battle action, some fun interplay between Gal Gadot's Diana Prince and Chris Pine's Steve Trevor.

It shows the pair's first meeting as Pine's pilot is shot down over the hidden, Amazon-run island of Themyscira, and learns of their godlike powers. We also get to see her fighting in World War I. But not at Steve's side – oh no, if anything, he's at her side.

And there's just a time for a touch of humour from Lucy Davis as Trevor's secretary, Etta Candy. Essentially, if you liked the gleeful warrior from Dawn Of Justice, chances are you'll at least enjoy this first look.

With Robin Wright, Connie Nielsen, Danny huston and Ewen Bremner also in the film, Wonder Woman will be out in the UK on June 2, 2017.
