While a couple of months still feels like too long to wait to see War For The Planet Of The Apes, the new trailer has arrived to tempt us once again. As Caesar (Andy Serkis) and his fellow simians face the toughest challenges yet, check out what is described as the "final" new look at the movie.

Directed once again by Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes' Matt Reeves from a script he wrote with Mark Bomback, War finds Caesar dealing with tragedy and then hitting the road (and the beach, and the forest, and the mountains, and a military compound) as he searches for a new home for his clan. As you’ll have seen above, it won’t be an easy journey for Serkis’ troubled chimp, either physically or mentally. And as the human military presses in to take down the ape society, he confronts a new enemy: a commander known as The Colonel (Woody Harrelson), who has no qualms about ditching human ethics to save humanity.

From the looks of this, the film will explore the Colonel's side of things almost as much as as Caesar's, and we should be braced for plenty of drama and loss. Co-starring Steve Zahn, Terry Notary, Karin Konoval and Amiah Miller, War For The Planet Of The Apes arrives on 14 July.
