First trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight

Transformers: The Last Knight

With every Transformers movie needing to be bigger than the last, it seems only natural that this one would feature a story that reaches back into time, includes huge space-borne robo-creatures and lots of fast action moments. Yup, sound the Bayhem klaxon, because the first full trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight has arrived.

There are some familiar trailer elements here, even including the slow-tempo cover of a pop song and narration (but we suppose if Michael Bay has Anthony Hopkins in his latest giant robot film, why not have him lend some gravitas?), plus talk of war and the odd shot of poor old Optimus Prime not doing so well.

While not much is revealed about the story, we do know that it'll involve King Arthur and the returning human likes of Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Stanley Tucci with Isabela Moner, Laura Haddock, Liam Carrigan and Jerrod Carmichael as the new recruits. Bumblebee is also back, looking like he'll suffer at the hands of Optimus for some reason this time. Maybe he's jealous that the 'bee has scored his own spin-off movie?

Transformers: The Last Knight is set for release on 23 June next year. Get ready for lots of things to go boom...
