As is the way of things with new Star Wars movies, the rumours have flown thick and fast about Rogue One, which is headed our way this December. Now, cutting through the unofficial chatter comes Entertainment Weekly, using its latest cover to report that Darth Vader will indeed be making an appearance in the new movie.
That locks down a long-touted rumour that the world's wheeziest villain will indeed be part of the Imperial effort to keep the plans for the first Death Star out of rebel hands (nice going, dude) and that he'll be acting, per usual, as the Emperor's enforcer. Which will be a subject of concern and fear for Ben Mendelsohn's Director Krennic. Who's in the Vader suit? It's not stated, but you can bet James Earl Jones has been tapped to record that memorable rumbling voice.
Gareth Edwards has been shooting (and, as has been extensively reported, re-shooting) the film, which includes some impressive-looking new (or old, given the movie's pre-Episode IV timeline) Imperial equipment, and we're promised more details of exactly what red Felicity Jones' Jyn Erso has in her ledger, which she's looking to get wiped out by helping the Rebellion.
