Just yesterday, we reported on Vanessa Hudgens landing the lead role on new TV comedy pilot Powerless, to be set in the world of DC's superheroes and villains, but designed as a workplace comedy, not a new action show. Three new castmembers have been added to the show, with Alan Tudyk, Danny Pudi and Christina Kirk joining the ranks.

Powerless will based at one of the worst insurance companies in America, whose employees' lives are made that much more difficult thanks to the endless collateral damage and fallout from superhero actions.

Hudgens is on board to play Emily Locke, an insurance adjuster who loves helping people, but finds herself increasingly frustrated by powered types causing mayhem. Pudi, still best known for Community, is Teddy, her best friend and work confidant, while Tudyk, to be seen later in the year in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, is playing Del, her power-mad new disaster of a boss. Finally Kirk, who starred in series executive producer Ben Queen's last show, A To Z is Jackie, a superhero super fan who also works at the company.

Michael Patrick Jann is on to direct the pilot for the show, which is up for consideration by NBC, which currently has no comic book superhero-based series following the cancellation of Constantine.
