With a director (Step Up All In's Trish Sie) now in place to make the third instalment, the cast is starting to gather for the next Pitch Perfect movie. The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Anna Camp has signed on to once again play Aubrey Posen.
She joins Anna Kendrick and Rebel Wilson on the "confirmed" list for the film, though we'd be surprised if Brittany Snow, Alexis Knapp, Hailee Steinfeld and the rest didn't also return. In the second movie, Camp's Aubrey, who had graduated from Barden, was leading a team-building and harmony retreat at a lodge called Fallen Leaves. It remains to be seen what she'll be up to in the new one, which was originated by regular Pitch writer Kay Cannon and has since been worked on by Mike White, with Elizabeth Banks again producing and appearing as Gail.
Pitch Perfect 3 is eyeing a 22 December, 2017 release date. Camp was most recently seen in Cafe Society and is part of the cast for Amazon TV drama Good Girls Revolt, which was commissioned to series after its pilot last year and will be on the service later this month.
