Yesterday, we unleashed our first Rogue One: A Star Wars Story cover on the world, featuring the line-up of rebels hoping to steal the Death Star plans. Today we can unleash our second alternative cover, featuring the guy they’re stealing from: the fearsome Director Orson Krennic, played by Ben Mendelsohn.

The cape-loving Krennic is flanked by a couple of Death Troopers, the elite all-black stormtroopers who act as personal bodyguards to the Galactic Empire’s high command. These guys aren’t to be trifled with.

For Star Wars geeks, the new issue of Empire will be an essential purchase, with unprecedented access to the slightly-less fearsome director Gareth Edwards and his cast (including an in-depth look at Bistan, the ‘space monkey’).

It’s available in all good and Imperial newsagents from Thursday August 25 – though subscribers to Empire will be getting their copies a little earlier than that, with their own limited edition cover, to be revealed soon. You can get ahead of the curve by subscribing to Empire here{ =nofollow}. Rogue One, meanwhile, blasts into cinemas from December 16.
