The hitherto gripping House Of Cards is back in March to give Machiavellianism a bad name. The Netflix Beltway drama/thriller will be looking to emulate the likes of Homeland in rediscovering its best form after a slight season 3 wobble. Check out its new, darkly-hued trailer below.
There’s no sign of the First Lady, Claire Underwood (Robin Wright ), here – for reasons that will be obvious if you’ve seen season 3, but Frank Underwood (Kevin Spacey) and his faithful sidekick Doug Stamper (Michael Kelly) are seen breaking ground in the Shallow Grave sense of the phrase somewhere on the Presidential campaign trail.
Washington D.C.’s Dick Dastardly and Muttley will no doubt be more co-dependent than ever, after the climax of the third season left them both with yet more skeletons in their already-brimming closets. This could be a campaign to remember.
If Donald Trump isn’t satisfying your craving for electoral villainy, circle March 4 in your diary. That’s when House Of Cards season 4 premieres on Netflix.
