The next few months are a very busy time for Netflix Original Series. Bloodline Season 2 arrives this Friday, with Orange Is The New Black returning on June 17. Hot on the heels of both is Marco Polo – the second season hitting on July 1 – and we’ve got an exclusive new image to whet your appetite.

Based on the titular Venetian’s explorations, Marco Polo (Lorenzo Richelmy) eschews Netflix’s mainly modern settings for 13th century China, and more specifically Genghis’ grandson Kublai Khan’s (Benedict Wong) court. While there, Polo meets One Hundred Eyes (Tom Wu, as seen in the above image), a warrior monk in Khan’s court.
If you can’t wait for your second helping of Marco Polo, Netflix have provided a 28-minute, standalone original (Marco Polo: One Hundred Eyes) revealing One Hundred Eyes’ backstory and how he got his unfortunate nickname.
Michelle Yeoh, Joan Chen, Zhu Zhu, Olivia Cheng and Claudia Kim all return when Season 2 launches globally on July 1.
