You could be forgiven for thinking that, with filming long since underway, we knew everyone who will crop up in Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Wrongo! There are still a few names to be added to the list, with Jenna Malone reportedly part of the cast{ =nofollow}.

The Hollywood Reporter has been gabbing to its sources to confirm sightings of Malone and a story on a Central Michigan TV show that she’s on board.

No official confirmation has emerged either about her presence or whom she might be playing, so here’s where we’ll fly the SPOILER ALERT flag and warn anyone who continues onward that there is wild speculation ahead.

The TV outlet’s report mentioned that Malone had been part of a scene where Ben Affleck’s Batman battles Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor (we’re guessing with the help of some henchmen/ technology, because we’re fairly certain Affleck could take out Eisenberg with one punch otherwise) and an anonymous extra mentioned that the actress is playing a female Robin. How true that is will have to wait either for its reveal in trailers or the film itself, depending on whether Warners/DC decide to say anything. And Malone has form with director Zack Snyder, since she was part of the Sucker Punch cast.

Batman V Superma****n, of course, is the latest link in the companies’ big plan for their own superhero universe, one that got a lot more concrete this week. Hopefully Malone’s presence means the chance for many more decent female roles in the coming movies. The film will be out on March 26, 2016.
