There is another... Last week, we revealed our glorious *[Star Wars: The Last

Jedi](http://www.empireonline.com/movies/star-wars-last-jedi/)* subscriber cover, featuring the hand of [Daisy Ridley](http://www.empireonline.com/people/d

aisy-ridley)'s Rey passing the lightsaber to the robotic hand of [Mark

Hamill](http://www.empireonline.com/people/mark-hamill)'s's){href='http://www.empireonline.com/people/mark-hamill)' target='_blank' rel='noopener noreferrer'} Luke Skywalker. Today we can reveal what will be arriving on newsstands this Thursday - and like the subscriber cover, it's entirely holographic. Take a look below.

Empire October 2017

The two heroes from a galaxy far, far away take centre stage on our latest cover – just the tip of a giant magazine-shaped iceberg, including an extensive eight-page feature on The Last Jedi and exclusive word from the film's director, Rian Johnson.

What can't be fully translated over the internet is that this cover is entirely holographic, making it an instant collector's edition. We've given the image a bit of a sheen here to give you an idea, but trust us – nothing quite beats seeing this cover in real life. It is, to paraphrase an old Jedi, an elegant cover for a more civilised age.

The Star Wars: The Last Jedi issue of Empire goes on sale in all good and First Order-affiliated newsagents from Thursday 7 September. Subscribers should be receiving their copies any day now.
