Artful and fresco-like with lots of religious symbolism but very little of the stick-fu we’ve come to expect from Matt Murdock, a new trailer for Daredevil has landed to set the scene for the Netflix show’s second season. More importantly, it also boasts a worldwide release date. Head here to watch it and then circle March 18 (and probably March 19) in your diary now.

The first season was an origin tale for the Hell’s Kitchen lawyer/vigilante (Charlie Cox) and his nemesis, Vincent D’Onofrio's Wilson Fisk. Now there’s a new force in the neighbour. Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher, Jon Bernthal’s comic-book heavyweight is now in situ, as is Elodie Yung’s Elektra. The chance of Matt getting through any of that backlog of legal paperwork done is slim to none.

Back to fill Matt’s world are Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll), Foggy (Eldon Henson), Claire Temple (Jessica Jones moonlighter Rosario Dawson) and Stick (Scott Glenn).
