Kingsman: The Secret Service's sequel certainly seems to be trying to fill the gender gap in its cast. With Julianne Moore reportedly on as the villain for the new movie, Matthew Vaughn and co. are talking to Halle Berry about jumping aboard.

Berry hasn't locked in an agreement yet, but Deadline reports that she's seriously considering a deal for two films, not just one, which suggests that Team Kingsman is looking to expand further beyond this second outing if the box office again proves favourable. If she does sign on, she'll be playing the head of the CIA.

The plot is still largely a secret, though Taron Egerton, who plays main man Gary "Eggsy" Unwin has previously said that his unlikely Kingsman recruit will be travelling even further afield than he did last time. Plus, he'll be a fully fledged member of the organization this time around, heading out on missions and tackling a new threat. And from the sound of it, he'll be rubbing shoulders with American intelligence agencies. Or possibly rubbing them the wrong way...

Vaughn and regular collaborator Jane Goldman have been working on the script and are looking at starting pre-production in May then rolling the cameras in the summer. The movie already has a June 16, 2017 release date pencilled in.
