Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2

Fasten your seatbelt... Because the Guardians are back. Featuring pretty much everything you could want from a trailer for the Guardians Of The Galaxy sequel, the new Vol. 2 footage is another chunk of riotous entertainment. And Zoe Saldana's Gamora even gets a line or three, after missing out previously...

From the looks of this, James Gunn and his Vol. 2 cast and crew have doubled down on what we liked about the original – the squabbling main team, the visually interesting galactic adventures and range of supporting characters – to deliver what will hopefully be a worthy follow-up. Even if Rocket Raccoon would probably just prefer a bigger payday.

With the regular Guardians – Gamora, Chris Pratt's Star-Lord, Dave Bautista's Drax plus Rocket (voiced by Bradley Cooper) and Groot (in baby form, but still with Vin Diesel on vocal chores) – all present and correct, the sequel points to Michael Rooker's Yondu being forced to join them after his Reavers revolt, the return of Karen Gillan's Nebula and the addition of new folk such as Pom Klementieff's Mantis. Finally, we'll meet Kurt Russell's Ego, a living planet who can assume human form with a big connection to Mr. Peter Quill.

Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 will be out on 28 April in the UK and, as the poster above connotes, 5 May in the States.
