After spending three seasons dealing with deviants and dangerous people of all types on Hannibal, you'd think Hugh Dancy would be ready for someone without issues. Apparently not: he's joining Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan for Fifty Shades Darker.

The second film based on E.L. James' novels finds conflicted lovers Christian Grey (Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Johnson) finding fresh complications in their dalliance. Ana starts a new job, but also has to deal with a variety of Christian's former flames coming out of the woodwork including Elena "Mrs. Robinson" Lincoln (Kim Basinger), the woman who first taught him the ways of S&M.

Dancy is on board to play Dr. John Flynn, a British psychiatrist who moved to Seattle after marrying an American, and the man who will help Mr. Grey sort out his fractured psyche. A billionaire with issues like Christian's? Flynn is going to be rich!

With the returning Marcia Gay Harden, Luke Grimes and Max Martini joined by other new arrivals including Tyler Hoechlin and Bella Heathcote, Fifty Shades Darker has James Foley in the director's chair. It'll be out on February 10 next year, followed by Fifty Shades Freed (shot back-to-back) on February 9, 2018.
