Empire’s ’80s Month

80s Month

It was a time for shoulder pads, a time for sweatbands, for acid wash jeans and carrying boomboxes for no obvious reason. It was a time for excess, for wearing neon and obscuring cinema screens with your aggressively oversized hair. It was, of course, the eighties and while that era's contribution to fashion will forever go down in infamy, many of its movies were among the best we've ever seen. To celebrate that fact – and as an excuse to start wearing side ponytails again – Empire will be paying tribute to this most garish of eras with an entire month of content inspired by the decade that style forgot.
