We’re dipping our toes back into the Potter-verse this year with Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them, the first Harry Potter spin-off from J.K. Rowling’s magnificent mind. And we here at Empire could hardly pass up the opportunity for a few covers of fantastical and somewhat beastly proportions. Well, we can now proudly reveal the fantastic, beastly, mega-exclusive, subscriber-only cover.

As you can see, it features the film’s magizoologist hero, Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), dwarfed by a rather fantastic beast: the Thunderbird, the giant mythical creature glimpsed briefly in one of the trailers.

Subscribers will have their copies delivered – possibly by owl – in the coming days. The regular newsstand cover will be revealed next week, and will go on sale Thursday 27 October.

As we announced this week, [we are also producing the world's first moving cover](http://www.empireonline.com/people/eddie-redmayne/empire-fantastic-beasts-find-cover-video-announced/

), á la The Daily Prophet. This video-cover version of the new issue has an extremely limited-edition run, with only 5,000 copies available. Full details of that, including the complete list of stockists, will be posted next week – keep your eyes peeled on the Empire website.
