Though you might think all of the central roles in Deadpool 2 have already been cast, here comes some news to change your mind. According to Deadline, Japanese actress Shioli Kutsuna is now aboard the sequel.
Exactly what she'll be doing in the new movie featuring the Merc with the Mouth is being kept locked in Deadpool's special cabinet for now (don't go looking, you'll regret it), but according to the report, it's a key role.
With David Leitch taking over the director's chair for this one (writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are returning), the sequel naturally stars Ryan Reynolds as the man usually known as Wade Wilson. Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Stefan Kapacic and Leslie Uggams are all back, with new faces including Josh Brolin (hitting the gym – and the barber shop – hard to play Cable), Zazie Beets (Domino) and Jack Kesy (as a yet-to-be-announced villain).
Deadpool 2 is scheduled to arrive on June 1 next year. Kutsuna has Josh Hartnett comedy Oh Lucy! headed for cinemas and recently worked with Jared Leto on crime drama The Outsider.
